Non-free / fair use media rationale - NEEDS ARTICLE NAME
Description
from wikipedia
w:Image:Jyllands-Posten-pg3-article-in-Sept-30-2005-edition-of-KulturWeekend-entitled-Muhammeds-ansigt.png

This is a reduced resolution version of a PDF newspaper page for an article on page three of w:Jyllands-Posten's culture section KulturWeekend entitled Muhammeds ansigt from September 30, 2005 which sparked the w:Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy. The PDF page, available to subscribers only, is accessible from JP's website, where an introductory (free) version can be found by choosing "E-avisen" in the upper right corner, choosing "2005", "September" and "Fredag d. 30." under "Arkiv" and pressing "Søg", then choosing "KulturWeekend" and going to page 3 (direct link). The text of the article is available here.

This is the fair use rational from wikipedia. Same applies here:

  1. It is not of sufficient resolution to facilitate easy reading of the article
  2. It is a single page, not part of a systematic mirror of Jyllands-Posten's articles or images, and thus should not significantly inhibit Jyllands-Posten from selling their content.
  3. It is politically significant, as the page depicted sparked, among other things, controversy lasting several months, death threats against the cartoonists, boycotts of its country of origin, many violent protests and deaths as well as causing several politicians to resign from their posts.
  4. It adds significantly to the Wikinews article and is being used there for informational purposes only.

Jyllands-Posten's copyright policy for the "E-paper", from which the image is taken, is available here. As specified in (english wikipedian) Poulsen's email correspondence with Jyllands-Posten, the copyright of the individual drawings belong to their respective cartoonists; otherwise, copyright belongs to Jyllands-Posten. (original upload, in the form of the introductory version, and fair use rationale written by Peter L).
