This rationale applies to JetBlue flight attendant accused of cursing at passenger granted bail and Resignation of JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater announced.

  • This image identifies a person subject to intense media coverage;
  • It identifies said person in the course of their employment;
  • Such an image is of value to the articles as the media interest is in actions made in the course of Steven Slater's employment;
  • Such an image is irreplaceable. As part of his newsworthy remarks, he stated he was leaving his job. In the second article, the end of his employment with JetBlue is confirmed;
  • The image is slightly blurred and hence not of sufficient quality to have any commercial value. Further, it is a 'family and friends'-type photograph never intended to have any financial use.
