@Blood Red Sandman: I wanted to try this look and since we had thirteen articles published this week (my counting is according to my local time), this was a good chance to see it in action. Besides, Pyotr Pavlensky's photograph by Dmitry Rozhkov was amazing and recently, I visited The Moscow Times where I saw similar type of front page in their weekly print edition. I was not sure if I would be able to include it. Was running late. And I do not have the software to make it better. But this is it. Feels good to know you liked it. Thanks.

(For some reason only some pings actually ping me) The lower text, both date and story selection, would look nicer if it were lower imo. The whitespace above looks kinda funky over a big block image and perhaps a box around the Wikinews logo would work. Small things, really. BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 18:27, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There are some good photos available at Commons about the protest. If at least six more articles are published by Monday morning, I can do that for the next edition as well.

Some of the protest photos are pure gold, yes. I'd hoped to have time to add a photoessay portion to the protest article but that's not looking likely. Looking at the review queue I think we'll manage okay for overall output this week. Fingers crossed I'll be able to do yours tonight. One more minor detail I noticed on the front page: Cannabis seems a tad vague compared to some others, I would expect such a broad stroke to perhaps relate to a big scientific study with worldwide implications.
