Habibur Rahman, BPM (Bar), PPM, (বাংলায়ঃ হাবিবুর রহমান) (Born on April 22, 1967) is a professional Police Officer of Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He is Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police at Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman is professional police figure across the country and very philanthropic personality.

Habibur Rahman is a high profile police officer in Bangladesh. He born at Chandradighalia, Gopalgonj. Gopalgonj is notable birthplace of father of the bengali nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. His mother's name is Rabeya Begum. He was very generous from childhood. Mr. Rahman is considered to be the police celebrity.

Habibur Rahman went to S. M. Model Govt. High School for primary education. Later, he admitted to Govt. Bangabandhu College at Gopalgonj. He completed Honors and Masters from University of Dhaka. After that, he joined in Bangladesh Police as BCS Cadre Officer.

Career[edit]

Habibur Rahman joined Bangladesh Police in 1994 as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) by 17th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examination. Later, he player role as Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dhaka District, Additional DIG (Establishment/Personnel Management-1) at Police Head Quarters. He is recently promoted as Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police. Now, Mr. Rahman is in charge of DIG (Administration & Development) at Police Head Quarters, Fulbaria, Dhaka.

Habibur Rahman is welcomed by Officers after being promoted as DIG, Bangladesh Police.

He is honored with Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) in multiple times and President Police Medal (PPM) for his dynamic and contributory policing duties and responsibilities as well as philanthropic social works beyond professional bars.
