On Monday morning in St. Johns County, Florida, a man sought on a felony immigration warrant escaped into the woods after an traffic stop on I-95. The situation unfolded around 9:40 a.m. and prompted a large-scale response from law enforcement, resulting in heavy traffic congestion in both directions near International Golf Parkway. Officers representing the sheriff’s office serving St. Johns County, worked alongside Customs and Border Protection to track down two people who fled the scene. By 11 a.m., authorities had cleared the area and traffic flow had improved, though the search for the suspect was still ongoing.
