Nobel laureate writer from Peru, Vargas Llosa dies

A Nobel Prize laureate writer from Peru, Mario Vargas Llosa has passed away. Llosa was a past presidential runner.

Peru's political people said Monday, that people came out to remember the life of Vargas Llosa that he was an influence to all Peruvians, while people lay flowers outside his home in Lima's Barranco District.

Llosa died at the age of 89 on Sunday in Lima, with his family. He will be cremated, his family said, adding that it was his wish. No public ceremony will happen said the family.

The President of Peru, Dina Boluarte, praised Llosa for his work in his field of writing. Boluarte went to Llosa's home on Monday afternoon to give her blessings to the Llosa's family. Talks of his not so good health had been noticed in months, which he had been out of the public focus.
