A helicopter that Russian President Vladimir Putin was riding in was stuck in Ukrainian drone fire on Sunday. A round of drones and missiles struck the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and other areas in Ukraine.
The drone attacks had at least 12 people dead and injured others. Russia struck Ukrainian regions with artillery, having the biggest attack of the three years long war, said the Ukraine Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat. Russia used missiles of different types and 298 drones, that were known as Iranian made Shahed drones, was said to the Associated Press.
There was no right away comment from Moscow. In Kyiv, the day was sadness as the city remembered Kyiv Day, a holiday that is on the Sunday of last in May remembered its established in the 5th century.
