Early Thursday morning, May 22, 2025, a woman was shot and wounded by CIA security officers after she drove up to and crashed into a gate at the agency's headquarters in Langley, Virginia, and failed to stop as instructed[Unsourced].
The Fairfax Police Department reported a non-fatal shooting Outside the CIA’s main offices in McLean, Virginia, early Thursday morning.
According to a police spokesperson, the incident took place at approximately 4:00 a.m.
A spokesperson announced, The front gate is closed at this time." Employees are advised to use alternative routes. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
Fairfax police officers remain on site managing traffic while the CIA continues its investigation. Currently, no roads have been closed.
Law enforcement officers shot and wounded a woman after she did not stop her vehicle while approaching the CIA headquarters gate early Thursday morning, according to USA Today. NBC News also confirmed that the suspect was female.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. The woman, preliminarily identified as 27-year-old Monia Spadaro, was taken to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.
