Considering the review process

[edit]

I began reviewing the article and found it difficult to clearly identify support for the focal event—“One Battle After Another dominated the 98th Academy Awards”—in the NBC source. The piece is a long, real-time timeline of updates, which a reviewer would need to read in full to confirm that all statements are supported and none are contradicted.

For reviewers with little interest in the subject, that may discourage review and delay publication by reducing the number of possible reviewers.

In sources like this, which include multiple updates (and here, deep links to each), it helps to use the provided deep links to indicate exactly which entry supports each statement using {{verify}} or hidden HTML comments. See also, Wikinews:Cite_sources#Considering the review process.

  • @Michael.C.Wright: I believe that I have now cited every fact in the article to one of the sources -- mostly to the NBC News article since it included numerous internal links, which can link right to the relevant fact. If the {{verify}} source link doesn't take you right to the relevant fact, check the HTML comments which I have used where needed. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 23:08, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please specify what style issues need to be corrected, if that is still needed? Gryllida (talk) 09:40, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
