Minor revision requested

[edit]

Hi @Oleg Yunakov Hi @George Ho @Wikiwide @BigKrow @Lofi Gurl @Back ache @Md Mobashir Hossain @Almondo2025, @Dsuke1998AEOS, @Ternera, @Monsieur2137 (if you want yourself removed or someone else added to this list, please inquire here) A revision has been requested. Here is a list of what to do. (If/when you intend to start working on it, please leave a message or mark the article with {{editing}}) See below:

Please make the following style edits as I believe they are required for publishing:

1) Remove external links from article body and move them to 'Sources' section

2) Specify location in the first paragraph

3) Add "Gallery" tag at the start of the long section with photos which do not have captions.

4) Add "image source" template to image captions, where they are present

5) Add an infobox

6) Add categories

Clarification of reporter involvement

[edit]

Hi @Oleg Yunakov

I may need more information:

  • A note at this talk page stating what you did as a reporter. A note like "I took the photos and took notes what was on display" would work. If you have any hand written notes or photos which assisted in writing of the content, send them to scoop@wn-reporters.org

Many thanks. Gryllida (talk) 02:51, 30 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello Gryllida. Thanks for the interest to help and your valuable comments!
  1. Done.
  2. Done.
  3. Done.
  4. Done.
  5. I assume you meant this infobox: {{under review}}. Done.
  6. I believe I already have had them? I used {{Categories}} which seems to accept a limited number of parameters.
Each photo already has the attribution of the author, but "I took the photos and took notes what was on display". (I do it since my first photo taken 15 years ago which made it to the front page of Commons.) I also had pics of the info plates which were presented next to the cars. And instead of hand notes I wrote some ideas on my phone. However if there would be any doubts on any of the numbers or facts we can easily cross check online. Thank you. Best regards, Oleg Yunakov (talk) 01:11, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Oleg Yunakov thank you for your reply.
The {{Categories}} isn't working, need to add [[Category: manually.
I've published it and this edit may be made within next less than 24 hours as I will need to sight the edit. Thank you very much for the report.
Please check article history for the minor edits which needed to be made before publishing.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Gryllida (talk) 21:27, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks, Gryllida! Done. I hope it should be all set now. I appreciate the help! Oleg Yunakov (talk) 00:22, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

NPOV issues

[edit]

I note the following issues with this article as it is being archived:

  • Several evaluative statements appear in wikivoice without attribution. For example, "competes very successfully with new cars from BMW and Mercedes" and "The Korean conglomerate Kia-Hyundai has been particularly prolific…" These read as promotional rather than neutral.
  • The line "The American auto industry has only introduced one innovative Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition… But Korean, Japanese and German manufacturers have shown several notable updates" frames U.S. and foreign makers in a comparative judgment without sourcing.
  • As original reporting, explicit attribution of observations is missing. Phrases such as "innovative" or judgments about brand success should either be attributed (e.g., "Wikinews observed") or supported by external sources.
  • The article is largely list-based. While descriptive, it lacks broader industry context (attendance, trends, or challenges), which would help balance the otherwise catalog-like coverage.

Per WN:NPOV, evaluative or analytical material should be attributed to a source, or reframed neutrally.Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 15:16, 19 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
