  • This is below minimal length for a Wikinews article. It does have three paragraphs, which is one of the usual requirements, but it's three short paragraphs. Total text should be a number of sentences longer; perhaps another 2/3 as much text as is already here, twice would be quite safe.
  • The headline should say what part of the world this happened in.
  • The lede should say when it happened (note the advice at WN:five Ws and H that if the lede doesn't contain a "day" word, something's probably wrong).
  • I fixed some small stuff; see the detailed history of edits during review.

Thank you for reviewing the article.

I have fixed everything that you suggested but I am struggling with the length of the article. As it was only a short story and there isn't a lot of information I could only make it 2-3 sentences longer.

  • We've struggled with length here, and lost some bits during review, but on balance of text and content, this now feels sufficient to me.
  • I'm unclear whether the "charge" event should be understood to take place at the time of arrest or at the time of court appearance. If it's the court appearance, that would explain the otherwise puzzling bit about five days after the alleged attack.
