Comments by reviewer: Unilandofma, thank you for your first article here at Wikinews! Below are both required and suggested changes to the article. Required changes The focal event for this article's lede and headline is the Hankede bridge opening. We need two sources that support that focal event but only the Avas article from February 1 does. Please also revisit the article for punctuation and grammatical errors. For example, in the lede, the following statement is unclear: "The bridge was opened amid to [emphasis added] delays after construction was finished." The second paragraph has a period after the first word. Often times reviewers can and will correct minor mistakes like that but since this is your first article and there are other issues to correct, I've only minimally edited the article. Our article should also specify that there is general confusion as to why there was a delay between completion and opening. Details should to be added to make our article more specific. For example, when in 2024 was construction finished? Add the article to a few appropriate categories. We generally like to categorize by country and region at a minimum. Suggested changes Consider searching for appropriate (free or fair use) images to include in the article. The article has five sources but is relatively short. If sources aren't used to directly support information in our article, they can be removed. Consider using {{verify}} after each piece of information in your article to ensure you have a source for every statement, and use all sources listed in the Sources section. Check the article's edit history for other, minor changes I've made to the article prior to review. Let me know if you have any questions! Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |

Review of revision 4838085 [Passed]

Revision 4838085 of this article has been reviewed by Michael.C.Wright (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 17:09, 3 February 2025 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I made a number of changes. Please review the edit history and edit summaries for more detail. I could not find a source to support the $800M loan from Exim bank so I removed the dollar amount as unsourced. Edition.mv mentioned $77.6M[1]. Please review our style guide for how to format dates in both the article body as well as the Sources section. Please also pay close attention to and accurately record publication dates of articles in the Sources section. Be careful with drawing conclusions or implying causality. For example, the article previously implied the government opened the bridge as a result of the Mayor's Facebook post but we don't know that for sure, so we just state the facts as they are supported by sources. With future articles, please also ensure that all sources are directly used in the article. Further details: Wikinews:Cite_sources#Use_the_sources Removing unused or redundant articles (beyond the minimum two required for synthesis articles) also helps with the review process, as reviewers must evaluate all sources for congruency or contradiction of facts stated in our article. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |
