Talk:Air ambulance crashes into infrastructure in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania while transporting pediatric patient, no survivors
Add topicWhile awaiting review
[edit]Lofi Gurl, I see a lot of work went into this already! Thank you!
While this article is awaiting a review, someone could go through it again to verify WN:Style issues are taken care of. For example, none of the images utilize {{image}} for attribution and the sources are not listed newest to oldest, as required by WN:Source. The lede could also be fed to AI to evaluate it against the WN:5Ws, as another proof-reading measure.
I hope to review this article tomorrow morning (Pacific time) unless another reviewer gets to it beforehand. With an article of this length, it would help tremendously if someone goes over it again before then and further tightens it up, to include removing any sources that are not used for information in the article, as required by WN:Source. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 17:56, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- I started the review process this morning but have run out of time for now. Please see the edit history for details on what I have done. I have worked through the first three paragraphs so far. If possible, please don't change anything there. If you add any information to the first three paragraphs, please use {{verify}} to speed up the review process. Consider doing the same to the remaining paragraphs.
- I have highlighted a statement that appears to have been jumbled. I think I know where you are going with that statement and linked to a possible source. While the article is no longer under review, you can correct that statement.
- Lastly, consider using fewer wikilinks, per Wikinews:Style_guide#Wikilinking_an_article. Think of the article as a news article and not an encyclopedic article. It is common practice here to wikilink known people, titles, notable locations, etc, but not common things like air traffic controller or pilot.
- I may have time later this afternoon to revisit this article, otherwise I will have time tomorrow morning. Another reviewer is free to take over if they have time.
- Lofi Gurl, you are clearly putting in a lot of effort on this article and I thank you! —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 17:41, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Did my recent edit fix the error? Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:24, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Yes it did. Thank you! —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 21:06, 5 February 2025 (UTC)

Cc TV caption
[edit]We need an actual author I think.
Not unknown BigKrow (talk) 19:31, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Because it was generated by CC TV, Commons doesn't consider there to be an author and it is also ineligible for copyright protection, i.e., it's in the public domain[1]:
This work is ineligible for copyright and therefore in the public domain because it consists entirely of information produced by an automated system, such as a fixed CCTV or traffic enforcement camera, without human input; it is common property and contains no original authorship.
- So I think attributing it to "CC footage" is acceptable. 👍 —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 15:10, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
Review of revision 4838624 [Passed]

Revision 4838624 of this article has been reviewed by Michael.C.Wright (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 22:32, 5 February 2025 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: This is a pretty good example of what a synthesis article can do, by pulling together smaller stories to create a broader and more in-depth understanding of a complex story. Be mindful of over-describing and dramatizing events. See the edit history for specifics.[2], [3] Wikinews articles are different from encyclopedic articles. Authors should avoid over-linking articles. See Wikinews:Style_guide#Wikilinking_an_article for details. Lastly, remember to structure articles according to the inverted pyramid style of writing. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |
