Could you please make several additions to readers unfamiliar with the topic? When reading the first paragraph, I didn't get what is it. Rugby? AFL? Soccer? Tennis? I had no idea.

Also would be good to include location.

Suggested example phrase: In American professional baseball (match/game/something) at (Location), Cincinnati Reds won 8-3 against Baltimore Orioles on Friday night.
