I think this should be more than a summary of Rep. Waxman's findings and should include counter arguments. 119

I think this ought to be called "Report: abstinence programs fraught with problems", the current title sounds more like an opinion piece than a news story. --Admbws 01:36, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • These programs are funded by the federal government under President George W. Bush's -> These programs are funded by the federal government under Republican President George W. Bush's

I think you should be carefull with the possible main claim of the article:

  • sexy abstinence incentive is inefficient for prevent the spread of STDs.
  • A group of teenagers who practises sexy constantly has less possibilities in getting STDs than another group of teenagers who dont practises or occasionally practises sexy.

Don't you think this is an absurd? (A man who drives your car every day has less possibilities in getting an accident than another man who don't drive or occasionally drive a car). This is just an observation. If you make the changes I have proposed above, I will be satisfied. -- Carlosar 05:50, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)

What the heck are you talking about? Sexy what? I don't see anywhere in the article that claims that "sexy abstinence is ineffective" or even the reverse. I also don't see any other "loose logic" type claims.

If these programs are federally funded the title is accurate and that does not indicate an OpEd piece. Finally, (D-CA) means Democrat from California. (R-CA) would indicate a Republican from California and anyone who does not know that G.W. Bush is a Republican has been living under a rock. Indicating a Senator's party affiliation is redundant when (R or D) is included in that person's title.

Ok. Also I praise your opinions but I would like to ask you to sign them. -- Carlosar
