'Self-appointed'[edit]

Bainimarama is no more 'self appointed', as it is said in article, since he has sended back, on January 3rd, 'all executive authority' to the President of the Republic, Josefa Iloilo, and this one has 'immediatly' appointed him as 'acting Prime Minister', on the next day. See the two French Wikinews articles of the time, fr:Fidji : Frank Bainimarama restitue ses pouvoirs au président Iloilo (4 janvier) and fr:Fidji : Frank Bainimarama est nommé Premier ministre par intérim (5 janvier), with some sources which should be still available and help to be sure of what I say.

Maybe a better sentence should be: acting PM, and former coup-leader, Mr Bainimarama told [etc.]

also, he appears to be Commodore Bainimaram, not "Mr."  — Doldrums(talk) 14:02, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
