Full disclosure: I'm an active part of this group. I'm also a newbie to wikimedia projects. Please forgive my myriad of minor edits as I stumble up the learning curve. Morey 18:19, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No worries; I don't think anyone here expects folks to be born with full knowledge of Wikinews policies, style, and conventions. :-) -- IlyaHaykinson 18:22, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notes on content[edit]

Morey, in order to make this article acceptable for publication, you will need to get sources for even the little things. For example, "a little-known libertarian news and commentary site" needs to have the little-known backed up by a source, or by your notes, etc. The idea for the article is good, but it needs to not be seen as an editorial to be published. Additionally, you might want sources extrenal to the project backing up some of what you're saying (i.e. traditional media coverage, blog references, etc) -- IlyaHaykinson 18:26, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will do! Thanks for your help! -- Morey 18:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

celebration to libertarianism[edit]

I think this article lack criticism to libertarianism in present form. I would prefer to put it in to develop and either make it newsy about the festival and not advocating libertarianism or open up to views npoving the celebration to libertarianism here. international 23:50, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you huffing paint? The article makes no claims as to benefits or drawbacks of the philosophy, only that a group of people are banding together with a common goal. Morey 06:03, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the news[edit]

I dont like to go hard on articles created by new wikinewsies and tag them but where is the news! All I see is a advertizing for a comming festival and its background. The news must come after the happening if something newsy happend, international 23:50, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming events are considered news. Thanks for vandalizing my story. Morey 06:01, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

"Libertarians flocked last year to New Hampshire for annual festival" or something as that is what happened. Now a it is a possible future or a present event is sold tickets statistics, what do i know? international 01:00, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please rephrase your question in English? --Morey 06:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Write a newsarticle after the festival, Im close to tag this article not news. international 06:20, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would tend to agree with international -- this article doesn't concern a specific event. Perhaps some additional information about the event the title describes would be useful. This article should not be published in the current form. --Chiacomo (talk) 06:22, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did have more details about the event, but they were removed. Now it is little more than background on the project. --Morey 15:10, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
