Eek. And I thought I was crazy when I waited for 42 days for Episode I, with a group of friends. -- IlyaHaykinson 23:36, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Is this really news? Does some sad persons attempt to see a movie really justify being given international attention? (<-- comment left by anonymous IP)

It is news — it's covered in other publications, and it isn't something ordinary. There's lots of space on a wiki: anything can be newsworthy. -- IlyaHaykinson 07:28, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I appreciate that Wikinews covers a variety of topics - from the deadly serious issues of the day to light-hearted stories such as this one.
Life is too short to only report about wars, disasters, and all other manner of human suffering every minute of the day. — DV 08:02, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Where is this guy?[edit]

The article doesn't tell you what city he's in. You have to look at the reference and deduce that if it was reported in the Seattle (Washington, USA) newspaper, he must be in Seattle.

Basic law of journalism: Who, what, when, where and why. The where is definitely missing.

As for the why, well, when I saw it I thought - Wiki news is geeky news. Your readers will probably find this article amusing, because most of them really care about the next Star Wars movie. Even though I don't, the article doesn't bother me. Just get all the facts in, please. (<-- comment from anonymous IP)

The byline opens with the date and location in most of the articles on Wikinews.
However, it wouldn't hurt to have a second mention of the location.
I've updated the article to restate the location in the opening graph.

I have just read this, and thought perhaps it is good to mention that he was covered by media previously and known as the Star Wars guy to some. Tomos 16:01, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Confused[edit]

I can get the DVD for this movie at any store that sells DVD's. What's up with this guy? Did I miss something?

The story is from January 15, 2005. :-) --Brian McNeil / talk 08:11, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
