Talk:Missing

It would be a great idea to do automatic self-updating mirroring of information from various common source sites. This one is just one example: [1] it goes up and down a lot, so perhaps a back-door connection might help here...i KNOW this is possible. RSS, what? This is to consolidate the information into the most consistently largest and best formatted (for easy eye-scanning) pile of contact info for missing persons (and I guess their kin if this is indeed the M.O. of the "Missing" entry...). I don't know how to do the formatting, I'm just the idea guy...anyway, here's what I got so far

Also, there has got to be a way to properly get past the registration pages of "news" papers that have lists of missing persons. case in point, that stupid smh.com.au site below, but i'm sure this will spread to nyt and washpost etc. help!)

Copyright[edit]

Please don't copy and paste from news websites without permission. It against the site policy and can get wikinew in trouble.

In trouble? In trouble? You mean, like, heads will roll and stuff, right? Like, sixty+ thousand of them?

Anyway, fine. I already envision someone taking some wiki engine as a vehicle renegade-style (thereby redirecting the LawyerWrath(tm)), discarding copyright concerns in the face of human tragedy, getting down all the pertinent information from all sources (no matter how hesitant), leaving only the engine makers to sue the renegade after the dust settles, 'cause the renegade is long gone by the time the newspaper lawyers get to them. Hopefully everyone at that time would see a certain necessity in sidestepping idiotically rigid cultural norms for the greater good.

Missing (in general)[edit]

In my opinion Missing should not redirect to Tsunami Help. At least not any longer. --SVTCobra 01:41, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now it goes to Category:Missing persons. --Pi zero (talk) 15:10, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
