This story has an entry at Wikinews Shorts: January 1, 2009, though I am sure a full article would be well deserved for this tragedy. --SVTCobra 05:44, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry to have overlooked that. At any rate, since this dire tragedy may not be duplicated in gravity later on, and is a dire omen to come for Asian zodiac lovers, I think, what is important is SYNTHESIS: people are scrambling for details of NAMES and identities of the victims. I provided the Japanese and Singaporean names and 3 aussies. Hope they will benefit from this full article.--Florentino Floro (talk) 08:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Happy 2009 New Year[edit]

All I ask, this New Year, is kindness, since I am just one month here, and as lawyer and judge, without any single subject or elective in AB Communications or journalism, and since my legal language is thousands apart from journalism, I beg the indulgence of reviewers to be more patient with my copy vios and backing, and many sources - not to be annoyed so to speak, I am trying my best. At the very least, I have TIME to learn more from all of your and our collaborations. Cheers.--Florentino Floro (talk) 08:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Well, I know, if my images are too subjective due to lack of exact image on Commons, please feel free to delete or change them, just love images. The Ox New year is still Jan 26. But we adopt it now. --Florentino Floro (talk) 08:30, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Year of Ox hasn't come yet[edit]

The editors of en.wikinews, the Year of Ox by Chinese calendar hasn't come yet, absulotely hasn't yet. The Year of Ox will begin on Jan 25th, 2009. So the comment on the main page is false.--1j1z2 (talk) 20:50, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

6 January 2009 - 14 February 2010: Earth Ox[edit]

Thanks for the message. I think, I had discussed this, but I can't find my thoughts, maybe, I failed to upload my comment on this matter. During the development and pre-review, I used earth (elemental) ox based on Wki En.[1]. I think I had suggested that technically speaking the year of the Ox starts on January 26. I cannot miss this date, since this is the birthday of my brother Robert, we await this. So, I am really sad that I had pushed the limit of the Chinese calendar backwards just because I love images, you know, as I stated since 1975, I am a failed Nikon photo dreamer. Lawyer-judge is not my ambition but race horse jockey and photo.
But suffice it to say, that, since this is English Wiki, then, I pondered that though the Ox starts on 26, but vis-a-vis the Gregorian Calendar and Wiki calendar of Jan. 1, earth ox can be merged with Jan. 1, since it is just 25 days. I know this is a big fallacy and no logic will accept this. I am sorry for my very far-fetched stretching of the Ox to Jan. 1. Here in the Philippines Chinese new year is celebrated in China Town on the Chinese date. Cheers.--Florentino Floro (talk) 07:46, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
