I don't know which geographic categories to add - the Olympics are in China, but aren't really the focus of this story; the web site was based in the US; the guy allegedly behind the scam is from the United Kingdom; it also affected (and seemed to get a fair amount of press from) people in Australia and New Zealand. Any thoughts? Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 06:29, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Category:China per Olympics, where the site is based isn't relevant - I'm in Belgium but is in the US. UK might be appropriate, but the press coverage in Oz and NZ definitely doesn't merit those categories. Plus, we probably want Category:2008 Olympics as I assume (well, hope actually) that there will be a fair bit of coverage. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:52, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
We already have Category:Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games. 10:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Personally I think that China should be added at the minimum and you could add the US and UK for the reasons given - Cartman02au (Talk)(AU Portal) 10:00, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

The first paragraph states that the sites have: "scammed victims out of up to US$50,000" but then finishes with: "The sites are believed to have taken in millions of dollars." There is a vast difference between the two figures, and I wonder which is correct? 11:58, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I believe what it means is up to 50K was taken from each victim, with a totalin the millions of dollars, but I don't honestly know. Can someone who does clarify? Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 12:11, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
That's what it's supposed to be. I'll add an "each" to clarify it. Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 14:35, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
