Additional Sources[edit]

@Bddpaux: did you mean External links? If the link was used as a source for even smallest of the facts, please put it in the sources section, but if it is not, though the audience is likely to gain more info about the said topic, please put it in External links section, but use {{source}} for that.

Yes, historically we've used 'External Links' and 'Additional sources' pretty much interchangeably. My brain decided 'extra source section' because THAT source is kinda old...that's pretty much the reason. I'm not sure there is a 'wrong' appoach, really.--Bddpaux (talk) 01:55, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We have almost always avoided additional sources in the past few years because "Additional sources" is misleading -- is it really a source I should be finding facts from, (and audience might overlook the sources) or, is it an external link -- that has been the rationale.

Headline + when[edit]

@Bddpaux: the current headline does not exactly sound encyclopædic, but it is definitely not how a news headline should be? "Theft of xyz" would indicate the article is about the theft, however, the lede suggests it is about police warning people. The headline and the lede for a synthesis should not be out of sync. Could you please fix that? Also, the lede does not answer precisely when it happened, it says this week -- but that may or may not be the same week when it is published. Maybe "Reports this week, at least as recent as on __day, indicate" would help?

Fair enough. Tweaked the headline and will tweak day(s) later today.—Bddpaux (talk) 16:03, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok...... this should work.—Bddpaux (talk) 16:13, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
