Comments by reviewer: I get that English is probably a 2nd language for the submitter and this article has excellent potential! However: the general tone and English sentence structure is lacking. If I tweaked it, that would make me too involved to later review it. Please try to get someone to help clean up the grammar just a bit. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |

- The style has not remotely been rectified. What I will try to do, is simply edit it to more closely fit with our style here. There is, admittedly, a bit of a learning curve here, but we are glad to have you.--Bddpaux (talk) 00:05, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Did a few bits of cleanup. I am now FAR out of reviewer territory, so someone else will have to take over. If for nothing other than entertainment, check out his submission over a WikiBooks: it is entertaining. By American standards, it is a wee bit odd, but I am far from Anti-Bohemian! Travelling on the cheap is an art unto itself! ...and many people who've done it have some cool stories! Anyway: I think this article has potential, but still needs to some hard work on it to meet up with journalistic standards.--Bddpaux (talk) 00:26, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Comments by reviewer: Under certain circumstances, we can edge around COI stuff, but this one borderline reads like an advertisement, and was written both by the person giving the presentation who was also the author of the book, which is central to the article itself... that is just pushing it too close. And: it went stale... sorry. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). Review of revision 4693583 [Not ready][edit]

Revision 4693583 of this article has been reviewed by JJLiu112 (talk · contribs) and found not ready at 20:36, 16 October 2022 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: Style issues remain. Headline is vague and imprecise; see past articles for examples. "The methods suggested by the author are similar to the well-known, pro-Western backpacking, but are tougher" and similar sentences are unwieldy and confusing, and require copyediting before resubmission, ideally by a native English speaker. Further, it verges nearly on breaking NPOV: "the nuances of a long intercontinental trip in the hobo tour format are described in detail" seems to cross between neutral reporting and advertisement. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). Improvements made[edit]
@Bddpaux:, @SVTCobra: substantial edits for clarity, coherence and independence have been made by a native English speaker (myself) to warrant a subsequent, independent review. JJLiu112 (talk) 19:57, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
"In English and Russian"[edit]
I gave the article a quick once-over for copyediting purposes, and I can't tell whether the "in English and Russian" bit means "the book was published in English and Russian" or "the speech was given in English and Russian." Darkfrog24 (talk) 16:24, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Darkfrog24: I don’t know to whom your question was addressed (to me — the author, or the last editor of the text, in whose interpretation it is currently), but I will answer the question. "The book was published in English and Russian" and "the speech was given in English and Russian", but the first statement is more important. I don’t make changes to the text, since it has been corrected by a native English speaker. — Виктор Пинчук (talk) 19:07, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- It's on the article talk page, so it's addressed to anyone working on the article who knows the answer and wants to take action. Darkfrog24 (talk) 19:42, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

Categorization[edit]
The article a month later, Russian photographer Viktor Pinchuk presents textbook in Simferopol, Crimea, about Viktor's photography textbook is in the Ukraine category as well as the Russia category; this one is only in the Russia category. Should it be in both the Russia and the Ukraine category? I am well aware of the sensitive nature of what I am saying and that's why I'm loath to just make the change. Ellenor2000 (talk) 15:27, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you. JJLiu112 (talk) 17:21, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ellenor2000: Yeah, that was Viktor; the December article was also only in Category:Russia before I added Category:Ukraine then. Heavy Water (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
