Thanks. The percent comes from the BBC source "SNP to 'learn lessons' as Labour wins crucial by-election". I was going to add one but no image of the winner has been uploaded yet. Moondragon21 (talk) 20:01, 10 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I emailed Davy and his party requesting a photo with a Wikimedia Commons compatible licence. Gryllida 20:28, 10 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Review of revision 4863182 [Passed]

[edit]

Problems with neutrality and balance.

[edit]

The article accurately reports the election results and presents verifiable facts. However, it lacks balance due to the absence of opposing perspectives, particularly responses from the SNP or Reform UK, and includes both an unattributed allegation and analysis from another news organization, both of which violate WN:NPOV.

To write from a neutral point of view, one presents controversial views without asserting them... and also to attribute the views to their adherents.

  • “Reform UK was accused of racism after an attack ad against Anas Sarwar.”

This is a serious allegation and must be attributed. Referring to it as an “attack ad” also introduces phrase bias and should have been attributed or removed.

  • “According to BBC News the outcome is significant going into the Scottish Parliament election scheduled for 2026.”

Wikinews generally does not repeat or amplify analysis or speculation from other outlets, even with attribution.

I have issued a correction but not sighted it. I ask that another reviewer please review and sight it if it is acceptable.

I have also rejected changes that were, unfortunately, not sighted within 24 hours of publication. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Reviewer) 14:20, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I have changed the correction to a note in-line with previous uses:
