Some passages were too close to source. Especially avoid distinctive turns of phrase. Keep in mind it isn't okay to change some words but keep phrase structure intact. In one case the problem was eliminated by expanding the direct quote to include more words (with the editorial addition of "[ing]").
Between the time zones — turns out, twitter time stamps are San Francisco time — and the directions, this was challenging to track for review. Interestingly, there were a number of discrepancies between the times reported by the newspapers and the timestamps on twitter; it's possible various information was announced in the stations before it was put on twitter, but without definite evidence of that it's just speculation, and in any case we were reporting that they tweeted at certain times so would have to go with the twitter timestamps.
Interesting. My fleeting impression from the twitter feed was they continued to have problems the next day.
