[edit]I did not attend this film festival -- my son did. He is 18 years old. I was (essentially) his driver. He is my primary interview source, as he attended (roughly) 8 of the film screenings.--Bddpaux (talk) 17:34, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- Interview with him on 3/17/25 @ 12:20pm Texas time; he stated his favorite event was the screening of 'The Studio' which will air via Apple TV on March 26th.--Bddpaux (talk) 17:46, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- 2nd Interview with him on 3/17/25 @ 3:20pm Texas time; photo of him, wearing custom made jacket, touting "On Swift Horses" film and the film's distributor, 'Mongrel'.--Bddpaux (talk) 20:25, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

Revision 4844849 of this article has been reviewed by Michael.C.Wright (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 14:31, 20 March 2025 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I made minor adjustments during the review to align with WN:Style. Adding critique from young film critic Budd within the next 24 hours could further enhance the article. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

- Bddpaux, Michael.C.Wright: An IP submitted an edit to the coverage of the changes announced for the 2026 festival that unfortunately didn't get sighted within 24 hours of publication.
- Both our synthesis sources, accounting for corrections issued by both outlets on Monday, agree that the festival typically runs nine days and that the second weekend is to be eliminated. There is some confusion as Spectrum claims in its correction, "There has never been a dedicated music festival weekend for SXSW, as the Film & TV Festival has always run concurrently with the SXSW Music Festival throughout the event," (presumably meaning the Music Festival starts partway through the Film & TV Festival and they wrap up simultaneously) which conflicts with THR quoting a reporter who says the "tech/film" festival ends on Tuesday and seems to state the music festival begins on Wednesday. Also, on the subject of how long the music festival lasts, while THR claims it's Wednesday through Saturday, Spectrum quotes the organizers as telling it that under the current schedule that's being replaced, there are six nights of music showcases (are there music showcases that aren't part of the music festival?) Perhaps Bddpaux can clear this up for us.
- The sources can also agree on is what may in fact be the only thing we need to establish to issue a clear and useful correction, which is that the music presence will grow from the old schedule to the new. Heavy Water (talk) 19:17, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, I'd be thrilled to help, save for, I don't know. Largely speaking, the prowess of the music side has declined notably. My son only really connected with the film aspect of things.....so, that's about it.--Bddpaux (talk) 17:55, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
