Talk:United States President-elect and Canadian Prime Minister have dinner in Palm Beach, Florida
headline
The headline has, while quoted, an opinion. Could it be attributed?
References are made to a person and a place, both of which are not familiar to the International audience.
Current version:
Trump has "very productive" meeting with Trudeau at Mar-a-Lago
Suggested version:
United States President and Canadian Prime Minister have dinner at Palm Beach, Florida
Even then it would be inaccuracy as there were also three government officials present.
Suggested Version 2:
United States President and Canadian Prime Minister have dinner with three US officials at Palm Beach, Florida
Possible option? Gryllida (talk) 10:42, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Done, although I did not add the "with three US officials" part, as there were others present as well. JJPMaster (she/they) 17:27, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Review of revision 4807603 [Not ready]

Revision 4807603 of this article has been reviewed by Michael.C.Wright (talk · contribs) and found not ready at 17:28, 5 December 2024 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: Please expand the lede paragraph to answer all of the WN:5W&H questions, specifically "why," and "how." Why: The purpose of the meeting is not included, leaving the reader wondering why they met. How: The means or context of how this event happened is not addressed (e.g., was this a formal diplomatic meeting, a private dinner, etc.?). Also address the issue above regarding the headline, as requested by Gryllida. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |

Thanks, Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 17:35, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I for some reason didn't view a move as an "edit". JJPMaster (she/they) 17:42, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- No worries. Just know that all moves also create redirects by default. Due to the timing of our edits, the new article page was not edited by my review (the redirect was) but the new talk page was. I just needed to manually update the article page, which was relatively easy. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 17:51, 5 December 2024 (UTC)

@Michael.C.Wright heads-up, 'this Friday' is today, event was a week ago. Gryllida (talk) 23:18, 5 December 2024 (UTC)

Review of revision 4807712 [Passed]

Revision 4807712 of this article has been reviewed by Michael.C.Wright (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 23:32, 5 December 2024 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: Thank you for quickly correcting the issues previously identified. I changed the photo to a file photo. I'm concerned about the copyright of the photo taken from Trudeau's Twitter/X posting. Please research the copyright license for such photos and if you find evidence that photo has a compatible copyright license, feel free to replace the current file photo within the next 24 hours. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

Article was not approved properly as per note on its top, though the "Publish (using easy peer review)" diff shows it was. @Bawolff?
Is it ok if I unapprove and approve latest version?
Thanks. Gryllida (talk) 06:49, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- It could be the pending change in the following, protected template that is used: https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Template:Infosection. Maybe check and approve that pending change and see if it updates this article's status. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 16:24, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- That template is used on thousands of pages, so sighting that one change may significantly reduce the number of pages showing up with pending changes. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 17:50, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
