Abu Ghraib Photo[edit]

The photo is only marginally related to the story. The fact that none of the sources even mention Abu Ghraib (nor does the story), much less included the photo is further proof of this. The story is about a new law, trying to make it about one incident is ridicules, and in violation of our NPOV policy --Cspurrier 22:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The amendments in question specifically address the authorizing the methods of interrogation and torture, such as those used in Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, and extraordinary renditions such as N85VM and N44982. Since by their nature photos of the aforementioned prisoner abuse are scarce, the Abu Ghraib photos provide a neutral example of the torture in question addressed by the amendments. zuzu 22:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be expanded and afterwards be made lead IMHO. --82.141.51.68 22:38, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will concede inclusion of any photo as contingent on further expansion of this article into a lead, within a reasonable timeframe. zuzu 22:44, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think the photo is appropriate as an example of what the article is talking about; just as if the article was about terrorism a photo of bin Laden might be appropriate. Neutralizer 23:53, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
