Talk:Wikinews visits the 2008 Reno Air Races
Notes, OR, Images, Etc[edit]
I took 1,600+ images on Sunday. Unfortunately it takes a long time to dig through all those, proccess them to make them "really nice", etc. I've also been really busy IRL. So I dumped out about 30 of my favorite images and tossed them on commons real quick. Down the line I intend to delete them from Commons and replace them with higher quality copies (that have been color corrected, denoised, cropped more, etc). I might even add a few more if there is interest. Don't worry, I'll fix the links on WN before I delete anything and muck up articles. I'm just trying to get this done before it is stale --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 06:50, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
For OR. I was there, if the pictures weren't obvious enough. You can also get the race results on their site --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 06:50, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Er, "there are no results to show you" - got a more permanent link to add to an == External links == section? --Brian McNeil / talk 09:18, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well the link in the article works. You are correct the one above did not, but this ones does. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 10:02, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

T-38[edit]
The picture labeled as a T-38 is actually a T-33.
See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-33_Shooting_Star And here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-38_Talon
I spent ten years at Nellis AFB in Nevada working on F-15, F-16, and F-5 (the T-38 is a derivative of the F-5 or vice versa) engines.
Thanks,

One other thing[edit]
The GAU-8/A on the A-10 is a 30mm, not 20mm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-38_Talon
