Template talk:Coordinates

To do

• Add optional name parameter with hCard output.
• Decide on location of display, perhaps with a display=inline,title parameter, as with the coord template on EN-Wiki
  • "title" display indicating that the coordinates apply to a whole story, not just one of several places mentioned in it)
• Make coordinates a link, in the format http://tools.wikimedia.de/~magnus/geo/geohack.php?params=52.548_N_1.932_W_region:GB_type:city (Note "N" and "W" parameters, instead of "+/-" values)
• Possibly enable DMS input/ output, like the coord template on EN-Wiki (complex!)

Articles nested within pages?

If articles on the Main Page had coordinate tags, would those be accessible as geotags on the main page? So a tool such as GreaseMaps would show a map with the locations of all those tags? (SEWilco 05:26, 13 August 2007 (UTC))

They would either have to be inserted manually, or by some form of Bot or script. (I assume you mean Greasemap?) Andy Mabbett 10:52, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
