Atlantic warming causes Pacific climate trends

One can view this human generated phenomenon with trepidation and/or opportunism. Though the earth has experienced this type of change in its past it took greater periods of time and came about more naturally. There may need to create a new geological epoch for this global evolution.

It's been proposed to name a new epoch the "Anthropocene" as a nod to how much humans have influenced Earth's ecosystems and it seems to be somewhat accepted within the scientific community if it is only, at least, an informal term.
