Holy...
...men are so reasonable.
My favorite passage:
"and has taken to carrying a gun on his hip for self-defense."
Thou shalt not kill (except supporters of Islam.)
And what was Pastor Jones' expected result, had he proceeded with his original plan? What message was he sending? Did he think it some kind of voodoo that would cause Usama bin Laden and his ilk to turn tail and run? If he truly was serious about his so-called "message", was he dedicated enough to burn himself along with the books, in order to make his point?
Only fools and fascists burn books (and records). This makes me wonder--is Jones a card-carrying KKK member? This idea of his has pretty much been condemned by the entire civilized world.
Burning Islam's Holy Writ would not intimidate radicals, but it would certainly inflame moderates. And how does he declare a book that he's never read as "evil" and "of the devil"? The Hebrew Torah (Pentateuch) predates the Christian embracing of Jesus as the prophesied Messiah, the Son of God--does that make it "evil" and of "the Devil", without the New Testament?
