A Baltimore Police Department detective was hospitalized on Monday evening in the neighborhood of Mid-Govans located in North Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The officer was in stable condition after being hit by a police car at around 5:30 p.m. EST (2230 UTC) during a foot chase of a suspect in block 5600 of York Road. Police noted the crash was by accident. The detective has been released from the hospital by Tuesday.
