)) What is the place of radio in times of pandemic?
((Javier Tairovich
)) The pandemic changed us all. And he also taught us journalists and communicators a lot. Uruguayan radios play a fundamental role in each of the communities and the medium to which I belong has been vital in the events of each of the cities of the department of Colonia. And in a pandemic it was no exception. We try to provide as much and best information as possible. First through calls and video calls, mainly in the early days of the pandemic. Providing truthful, accurate information. The authorities were available every day to give official information. It was all weird. We had no social information, there was nothing to cover. We had to figure out many times to get news. Luckily there is a large team of professionals that we set our minds and studied every day what topic or where to target. Obviously the pandemic was and is the central issue, every day. The audience is also fundamental in that. He watches the radio all day. The people are amazing. There are listeners who wake up with the Radio del Oeste on and go to bed listening to the radio. They know us as if they were familiar and one has no idea the extent of our words. Its beautiful. They also give piques for issues and complaints that we try to bring to light with the words of the competent authorities. The pandemic, professionally fed us to work in a different way and has also taught us in some aspects.

)) What do you prefer to be an announcer, chronicler, or radio producer?
((Javier Tairovich
)) I do everything, but I really like production. It is the task that I am most comfortable with. In any case, working in an important medium like Radio del Oeste and its multimedia, gave me the possibility of being able to develop myself in different areas such as audiovisuals. I learned how to broadcast on television and that opened the doors to other challenges such as coverage for the Montevideo media with national reach. Radio is my heart. Since I was a child I slept with the radio on next to my bed, I woke up listening to any type of program Radio September AM, among other radios. Today it is a personal dream to be able to develop this beautiful task that is communication in this prestigious station that has been communicated to the entire south-central part of the country for more than 70 years. It was my school and I learned everything I know there.
((Wikinews
)) Do you have references in the world of radio?
((Javier Tairovich
)) Yes. Argentine radios. I listened a lot Radio Miter, Radio 10, Radio La Red, etc. I think they work very well and in certain aspects I like them more than the Uruguayans. They are more dynamic.

)) How did the idea of creating a book about the outstanding Uruguayan soccer player Cristian Rodríguez?
((Javier Tairovich
)) For a long time I had wanted to write a book and reading about soccer player Diego Godín. I asked myself: Why not write the history of the most successful soccer player in Uruguayan? I did that. I had known Cristian Rodríguez since he was a child, I saw him play on Juan Lacaze he was extraordinary with the ball. He reached professionalism and won everything in how much country he played and how much team he participated in. In 2015 I went to interview him at his country house in Juan Lacaze, and after the interview I threw the idea at him and without hesitation he said: "yes, go ahead". Let's do it. I got to work looking for testimonials and stories around town, friends, family, former teammates, school teachers. I didn't have any place where onion walked to speak and get testimonies. Then the project slowed down for work reasons and he led me to speak with the journalist and writer César Bianchi to join the idea and thanks to him, with a very good job and together we were able to bring to light the story of the most winning soccer player Uruguayan soccer, at least until the play came to light. The book was presented at the end of 2019 at the Palacio Peñarol where the president (at that time) of Club Atlético Peñarol, the sports leader and lawyer Jorge Barrera also participated. It was something exciting for me. Present my first book, in such an emblematic place and of a professional footballer who transcended.
