In the Woolwich district of London, a soldier was hacked to death by a ‘machete-style knife’ says Al Jazeera.

Priminister, David Cameron stated that, “police are urgently seeking the full facts about this case but there are strong indications that it is a terrorist incident.”

The victim was run down by a car and was then violently attacked. The attackers had their crime filmed and encouraged onlookers to take photographs. When police came, the attackers proceeded to charge at them with the machete but were shot down by police men and women.

One of the attackers was quoted saying, “I apoligise that women had to witness this today but in our lands, our women have to see the same. You people will never be safe. Remove your government, they don’t care about you.”

A women who has been regarded brave by the Herald Sun approached the man saying, “Right now it is only you versus many people, you are going to lose, what would you like to do?”

Following this event, Laurence Lee from Al Jazeera reported that there were anti –Muslim sentiments on social media as attackers were heard shouting “Allahu Akbar” while they attacked the soldier which means ‘God is Great' in Arabic.

The attacker has also been quoted as saying that this attacked occurred because, “David Cameron, the British government sent troops in Arabic Country.” – The Independent.

The Independent also reported “Islamists have threatened a number of times to behead a British soldier in relation for involvement in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. “
