But that doesn't mean that these types of news can't be covered :) It's one of Wikinews' aims to cover a broad range of news and also news which might not appear in other publications. I will also form a Wikinews Romania sub-bureau later under Wikinews Europe bureau. Cheers, Ronline 12:16, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Romanian issues[edit]

Hey! Concerning balance in my reporting, I don't think it says anywhere in the Wikinews mission statement that reporters must write about all topic areas and not focus on one in particular. In fact, it is encouraged that people focus on developing the breadth of a certain topic area - they do this in Wikipedia too. I like focussing on Romanian articles and for that reason I will always write about them. If anyone else wants more balance in reporting, then I challenge them to write articles about something else to "balance out" the Romanian articles. But, seeing as you want me to write non-Romanian items, I will write an article about the beautiful country of Sweden next time :) Adjö, Ronline 12:01, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi. Just to let you know, I don't mind negative feedback at all, because it is good to see everyone's opinions on what I contribute. That's good and it would be worse without it. All I'm saying is that, at the same time, everyone has the right to contribute what they want, though feedback does count and is valuable. OK, so about balance in reporting. I still don't understand you there too much. What do you mean by "an occassional". I think what you mean is that some stories should be formed from one angle about Romania (a more negative one) while others should be from a different (more positive) angle. Is that what you're trying to say? "We are allowed to dream aren't we?" - you're hinting here that my stories about Romania are written by me in order to paint an idealised picture of Romania - one that is like a dream. Sorry if I didn't understand you there! Is that what you meant? Other than that, thanks for all your feedback, it was appreciated (I mean it, really!). Ronline 02:16, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
