Welcome!

216.75.93.110, welcome to Wikinews! Thank you for your contributions I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! Doldrums 12:55, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

If you're going to label something {{NPOV}} please expound on the reasoning for the tag on the discussion page. Specify in more detail where there is bias that is unsupported by facts. I think in this case you will find everything in the article is attributable to a source or related news item. There is no redeeming news about Thaksin Shinawatra, I even hear he kicks puppies. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the contributions page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account and/or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
