Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Glad to see you here, and editing.

Here are a few items I've found useful Getting started. The tutorial on writing an article has some great steps to follow, as well as some templates which will help simplify writing articles. The workspace is a great way to interest others in helping out on your article idea, or to find articles you can collaborate on. If you need help working with Wikinews, or have ideas to improve Wikinews, consider the Water cooler.

You can always contact me through my talk page. A nifty trick is use NaodW29-nowiki389fee4143603acf00000001 to sign your message - 3 of them will be replaced with your username as a link, 4 will also put a time stamp to say when you signed it. And have fun!

By the way, we generally prefer that articles be initially created by [adding a link] to the developing story list on the main page, rather than on a topic or region page. The reason is so people will not edit your article before you finish creating it, and so others can see what is already in the works. That way we won't have three people start three different versions of the same article, and the problems associated with trying to merge them into a single article.

Thanks again for writing! - Amgine 21:11, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)
