Welcome to Wikinews! Thanks for creating US Immigrants March; Congress Debates, we need more articles like this. There are a few issues that must be dealt with before it can be published. The most important is that all Wikinews articles must cite sources for the information they contain. We usually cite sources using the {{sources}} tag at the bottom of the article. When you click "edit" there are instructions for using the {{sources}} tag underneath the "Save page" button. If your article contains original reporting, you should read the information at Wikinews:original reporting. You may also wish to consider requesting an interview rather than writing an article.

Discussion about your article will occur on the article talk page. You are welcome to go there and participate in the discussion with other Wikinews contributors. - Borofkin 08:16, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HELP! I submitted this article framework because I saw the topic was overlooked. With the exception of one number that came from a site, "Democratic Underground" all of the other information came from what appeared to be reputable newspaper web sites. I have to go to my day job -- so I need your help.

WHAT IS NEEDED 1. Sources for numbers -- Google "Orlando Immigration March" , click on News and check stories for numbers. For each city -- replace "Orlando" in Google query with another city name on the list and note any additiional cities. a. Note the crowd size estimate number b. The web source of the article -- see Wikipedia citation method (below the Save button) c. Whether the number was a reporter(r), organizer(o) or police(p) estimate.

(r) = reporter (o) = organizer (p) = police

2. Sources for the slogans

3. Other information (appropriately sourced) a. Arrests of demonstrators or counter-demonstrators. b. Violence, or lack of it. c. labor shortages d. School boycotts, walkouts or absenteeism e. reaction of US President Bush and other elected officials

US Immigrants March; Congress Debates[edit]

I can see that you've put a lot of work into this article, which is great! It needs some work before it can be published, however. The main problem is that the sources need to conform to the way sourcing is done in other Wikinews articles. Take a look at a few - they are written in a journalistic style, and have links to sources in the "Sources" section, but don't actually quote from sources. You might want to take a look at Wikinews:Writing an article. - Borofkin 00:48, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
