Welcome[edit]
67.21.48.122, welcome to Wikinews! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay! If you haven't done so already, you may want to create an account.
Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!
- Wikinews:Neutral point of view - tell every side to a story in a fair and balanced way
- Wikinews:Cite sources - everything in a Wikinews article must be sourced
Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:
- Wikinews:Introduction - overview of the site
- Wikinews:Writing an article - how to write and publish a complete article
- Wikinews:Content guide - what's suitable for Wikinews
- Wikinews:Contents - the contents page.
- Wikinews:Newsroom - The comunity portal
There are always things to do on Wikinews:
- Existing articles need expanding and checking for spelling and mistakes
- The front page lead articles often need updating
- Developing stories need finishing and publishing
- Discussions need your input
- And of course, stories need writing!
By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! - Borofkin 06:31, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
This is another unacceptable username.[edit]
Please see Wikinews:Changing username to have your username changed. This username is not acceptable under the Wikinews:Username policy. - Amgine | talk en.WN 17:11, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, this is an anon account, so it is acceptable. I'm guessing your posting this here as a WP:POINT. Nyarlathotep 17:57, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your support[edit]
Your support on the Deletion Request was appreciated. Due to the controversy over the article, I have re-published it. If you can suggest another distribution of Linux to work on, I'd be more than happy to hear of it.

- First, see this article through the current campaign to keep it from staying among the published articles of Wikinews. I think it's sad that detractors are delaying, and obviously discouraging, your moving on to such a future project. Which project, I think, should deal with the distribution having the most widespread deployment -- Fedora? Mandrake?

For history[edit]
Please refrain from making further edits to the Italian election story, it is accepted practice on wikinews to start new articles when there are new events and avoid significant edits to published articles. As noted on the article talk page, this article should have been left alone at the point where it announced polls opening and a new article started. --Brian McNeil / talk 21:18, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
