Welcome[edit]

Thanks for experimenting with Wikinews. Your test worked, and has now been reverted or removed. Please use Wikinews:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles may disrupt the site's working and will be reverted quickly.

74.72.53.149, welcome to Wikinews! Please refrain from using content pages for testing. Here are a few good links for newcomers on how to edit Wikinews:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! Removing comments[edit]

Please don't remove civil comments from Talk pages. --David Shankbone 18:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second warning[edit]

Hello,

Your recent contributions constitute vandalism and have been reverted. Should you believe that your contributions are *not* vandalism, please argue your case on your talk page, or in WN:ALERT.

Further vandalism may result in a 24 hour block. Please contribute to Wikinews in a constructive fashion instead.. You do not have the authority to decide what "redundant" comments should stay and which should go; nor do you have the authority to decide what someone says. Please stop vandalizing. --David Shankbone 13:00, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

David Shankbone[edit]

[moved from WN:ALERT

...has been posting the same exact message twice, and then reverting my edit when I remove his redundant comment, calling my action vandalism. He's an asswipe. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.72.53.149 (talkcontribs)

David Shankbone is correct in reverting you. It is inappropriate for you as someone not an admin to go around deciding which comments should be removed, especially when involved in the conversation. Although he responded in what could be called a redundant manner, you've commented twice, its fair for him to respond twice.
In addition Calling someone an asswipe is absolutely not tollarable. Although you are allowed to not like someone, you have to express it in polite terms. Not following common courtesy and Ettiquete will get you blocked from editing. Bawolff 02:10, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bias warning[edit]

If you have concerns an article is biased, the appropriate way of dealing with it is to raise the issue on the article talk page and discuss. --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 23:44, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
