Saturday April 30th around 5:10pm, I was traveling toward Tyler, Texas and Mark Scirto (local weather broadcaster) broke in to report that radar was indicating heavy 'ground debris' near Eustace, Texas...which he said indicated tornado activity. Warned people to seek shelter and said conditions were 'life threatening.' Also said some activity was reported across parts of Van Zandt county (quite near Eustace). --Bddpaux (talk) 16:18, 30 April 2017 (UTC)

I remember him advising people to 'avoid driving in or near the area.' --Bddpaux (talk) 16:27, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
  • I'm a little confused about the Dallas Morning News source, it mentions 'Saturday' and when I pull it up, it says '13 hours ago' but the URL reads April 28th (maybe they did story prep....not sure). --Bddpaux (talk) 16:22, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
  • On Sunday around 5:20pm, I interviewed a man in Chandler, Texas who stated that earlier in the day, he'd visited family members who live in Canton; reportedly, one of the tornadoes passed 'within 50 yards' of their home 'but surprisingly did little damage to it.' --Bddpaux (talk) 14:13, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
