Recruitment Age article[edit]

First off, we really appreciate your contribution. but do note that an article which is identical to another copyrighted article, except for minor rewriting and changes can be a copyright infringement, and Wikinews policy is to erase copyright violations even if they are excellent article ideas. a better way to write articles on wikinews is to collect information about a news event from multiple sources and then write about it in your own words, see Wikinews:Writing an article for more on how to contribute to wikinews.  —Doldrums (talk) 08:58, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi Newsboi-Ph,

welcome to Wikinews. it's great to have a contributor from the Philippines, and a professional reporter at that. Wikinews:Writing an article is a good place to learn how to contribute to wikinews. key things to remember while writing is to keep it free of bias, source all information and keep out unattributed opinion and editorial comment.

any information sourced from any external source will have to be attributed using the {{Source}} template. if u do any Original reporting, then post notes about the reporting (i.e the kind of stuff u'd show a news editor, eg. interview transcripts ) on the article talk page to enable other contributors to do some fact-checking. if there's some information that u don't want to publicly reveal, u can e-mail it to an accredited reporter instead.

if u need any assistance, pls dont hesitate to contact me, other wikinewsians on the Wikinews:Welcommittee or post a request to Wikinews:Water cooler/assistance. welcome again, — Doldrums(talk) 12:17, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
