Thanks for showing an interest in the above. How can I get it reviewed and hopefully published ? As I stated, if the complete rewrite is considered to have a better take on this, be my guest. Everyone may feel free to improve on the article. But, unless 'proven wrong' I think the article is ready for publishing. The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced tomorrow. Thanks again for your help. It means the chances of me writing or contributing in other ways have increased  :-) BalansR (talk) 15:00, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting review

Hi, you seem to be the most active person other than myself right now. Would you mind reviewing the article Rap music fan sentenced to Beethoven, pays fine instead? Best, Durova (talk) 19:38, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. :) Durova (talk) 19:44, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anonymous beat me to it by just a few seconds. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 19:44, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
oops, sorry, I didn't see this message until after I'd done the review. I didn't mean to waste your time. (By the way, feel free to review UK motorway closed for several hours, heavily congested due to woman on bridge :P) Anonymous101talk 19:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Anonymous101talk 20:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 20:31, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem

I'm generally always happy to help with economy-related articles. - Julián (reply) 21:18, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you do a peer review for the article above? Thanks. --WNewsReporter (talk) 21:25, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

jumbohostel image and question

On Talk:Oscar Diös tells Wikinews about his hostel within a Boeing 747, you suggest an image. Would uploading from MEDIA & PRESS: Images for the web work, under a promotional image fair-use license? I'd suggest this exterior and this interior myself. TransUtopian (talk) 07:01, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, they will work if we upload just to wikinews and not to commons. Do you want to upload it or should I? --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 08:21, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could you do it please? That would help a great deal, rather than me muddling through finding and filling in the template. It's been a long time since I've done that (on WP). TransUtopian (talk) 09:00, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I added pictures. The fair-use questionnaire was as unfun as I recall. :) Let me know (and you're welcome to change) if I did anything less than ideal. I chose the cloudy pic because it's the only one that shows the livery clearly, which I think is a better argument for non-replacability. TransUtopian (talk) 00:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I'm confused. I'm not the IP who said "Air Transat never went bankrupt and have never owned or operated Boeing 747s", but it prompted me to look at JumboHostel.com. I couldn't find a reference to Air Transat. Instead, its history says "The airplane, a worn out jumbo jet of the model 747-200 built in 1976, had Transjet as its last owner, an air operator that was bankrupt in 2002."TransUtopian (talk) 08:11, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Please comment here rather than at my talk since I'm pointing Blood Red Sandman here as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TransUtopian (talkcontribs) 08:15, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the catch. I saw the IP comment and meant to look into it but completely forgot. I just changed it. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 08:19, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thank you! I would have done that but figured I was or at least could be mistaken since I figured Blood Red Sandman got the name from somewhere, either elsewhere on the site or in correspondence. TransUtopian (talk) 09:00, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I picked up Air Transat from a news source somewhere - I first heard about the project in press coverage - and misread Transjet as Transat off of the website, re-adding the 'Air' mentally. Very good catch, well done people, and good image work too. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 16:17, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the interview and background. As someone mentioned on your talk page, an enjoyable read. TransUtopian (talk) 00:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Typo still in Wikipedia Current Events, but don't worry

Thank you for the welcome. I noticed the typo because I was editing Wikipedia:Current_events, and notice it's still there. I tried to change it but the change isn't showing after save. I've noted the problem at User_talk:Wikinews_Importer_Bot.

Even once the change goes through, I know that headlines are sometimes renamed for typos, clarification, updates or NPOV, so you might want to monitor that or see if there's a way to auto-update upon page move. Galatee (talk) 20:16, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, interesting. I was able to fix it over here by purging the page. It should correct itself over at wikipedia when a new article is published. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 20:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How did you purge the page, or is that admin only? Thank you for doing that, and for noting it should correct itself at the next publication. Galatee (talk) 21:23, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anybody can purge. At the end of the URL type in ?action=purge and that will make sure the page is the most current. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 23:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip. Galatee (talk) 04:18, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
