Adding a story[edit]

It really depends on how breaking of a news story it is. In general, if you are preparing a story to be written in the future (such as election results), then it would go on Wikinews:Story preparation. Otherwise it would go on Template:Submitted stories. If it's really urgent, or you have already written a large chunk of it, you can add it directly to Template:Developing stories. Make sure that you put the appropriate Stage Tag at the bottom of the article, {{prepare}}, {{develop}}, {{publish}}; and enjoy writing with Wikinews! NGerda 19:39, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)

To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Rnt20~enwikinews that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything.
