Wikinews:Autoconfirmed users

From Wikinews, the free news source you can write!
(Redirected from Wikinews:Autoconfirmed)

Autoconfirmed users are users who have had an account for at least four days. This is to try to prevent vandalism from users who just create an account to vandalize. These users, in addition to what all users can do, can:

  • Edit semi-protected pages (autoconfirmed)
  • Move pages (move)
  • Overwrite an existing uploaded file or image (reupload)
  • Perform captcha triggering actions without having to go through the captcha (skipcaptcha)
    • For example, new users if they insert a link to an external site in a page have to type a word from a picture to make sure that they are not an automated program.
  • Upload files and images (upload)
