Senior Telegraph writer Peter Oborne alleges paper suppressed reports on HSBC[edit]

On February seventeenth we learned that Peter Oborne, former chief political commentator at British broadsheet newspaper the Daily Telegraph, has accused the paper of under-reporting stories involving HSBC, a UK-based multi-national bank, in order to avoid loss of advertising.

Southwest Airlines grounds 128 uninspected planes[edit]

We also learned that US carrier Southwest Airlines grounded 128 planes that day due to them being not properly inspected. The Federal Aviation Administration said as long as the inspections of planes were done within five days the grounding was not mandatory.

Harris Wittels, Parks and Recreation executive producer, found dead aged 30[edit]

Thursday February nineteenth Harris Wittels an executive producer on the television show Parks and Recreation was found dead in his home. The thirty year old was found unresponsive by his assistant and the police announced they were looking into possible a drug overdose. An official cause of death would not be known until the results come back.

Peterborough United F.C. manager Darren Ferguson leaves club[edit]

Darren Ferguson manager of Peterborough United Football Club resigned Saturday the twenty first after a 3-0 defeat to MK Dons. After that loss, the team was number fifteenth in league one, the third tier of English football.

Footballer Adam Johnson arrested on suspicion of sex with under-age girl[edit]

Football player Adam Johnson who currently plays for Sunderland AFC was arrested Monday morning at his home on suspicion of sex with an under aged girl. He has been suspended from his club pending the outcome of the investigation.
