Her new single "Smile" and previous hit "Fighting Out The Pain" have secured their spots in the prestigious chart, marking Roma’s second time as an independent artist to break into the rankings.
Roma first made waves on Deezer in 2023 when her track "Fighting Out The Pain (Remixes)" made a notable entry into the Philippines Top 100. This marked the start of her journey into the spotlight, where she showcased her unique sound and bold artistic vision. Now, just two years later, Roma has returned to the chart with "Smile", a fresh single that further cements her place in the local music scene.
Known for her fearless approach to music, Baddie Roma has always stood out for her boldness, both in her sound and her independence as an artist. The success of "Smile" alongside "Fighting Out The Pain" serves as a testament to her hard work and unwavering determination to carve out her own path in the competitive world of music. Syrian Rapper Murder Eyez Rebuilds Life and Career in Germany After Fleeing Civil War

April 22, 2025
Description: Syrian rapper Abdul Rahman Masri, known as Murder Eyez, navigates life as a refugee in Germany while continuing his music career.
Full story:
On a rainy Saturday in May, Berlin's Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church hosted the city's annual Peace Festival. Amidst the festivities, Syrian rapper Abdul Rahman Masri, better known as Murder Eyez, took the stage. Dressed in an LA Raiders cap and a checkered kaffiyeh, Masri's performance was a stark contrast to the preceding acts. He began with a rendition of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's "The Next Episode," transitioning into his own politically charged tracks. Despite the rain and a dwindling audience, Masri delivered a passionate performance, criticizing Arab leaders and advocating for peace.
Masri hails from Aleppo, Syria's largest city before the civil war. He emerged as one of Syria's pioneering rappers, recording his first single over a decade ago. His music gained popularity, leading to performances in cities like Dubai and Cairo. In 2010, he was a finalist on the Middle Eastern rap talent show "House of Hip-Hop." Before the war, Masri owned a recording studio, a music label named Big Change Recordz, two clothing stores, and a graphic design business.
The onset of the Syrian civil war in 2011 disrupted Masri's burgeoning career. As Aleppo became a battleground, he faced increasing challenges. Eventually, Masri fled Syria, seeking refuge in Germany. In Berlin, he continues to produce music, using his platform to shed light on the Syrian conflict and the plight of refugees.
Masri's journey from Aleppo to Berlin underscores the resilience of artists in the face of adversity. Through his music, Murder Eyez remains a voice for his homeland, advocating for change and peace.

Hasbro moves HQ from Pawtucket, RI to Boston, MA
September 16, 2025
Description: Hasbro moves HQ from Pawtucket, RI to Boston, MA
Full story: Hasbro announced that it will move its headquarters from Pawtucket, RI to Boston, MA. The toy company has resided in the Pawtucket area since the early 1920s after being started in Providence.
Rhode Island made a strong case for keeping the company within its borders, offering a parcel in the new I-95 Redevelopment District for $1, but the pull of Boston's innovation prowess and talent pool was too influential to overcome. Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey said, "We are thrilled that Hasbro has chosen Massachusetts as the home of its new headquarters, and we’re ready to support the hundreds of jobs they will create here.” said. “We’re proud to welcome this iconic company to Team Massachusetts — where we are number one for education, health care and innovation. I’m grateful for the leadership of Chris Cocks and his team at Hasbro, and for the hard work of my economic development team that helped make this possible.”
The company expects to move its workforce of 700 full-time employees by the end of 2026.
