Help requested for Phab

I am struggling with communication like that

Reasons being I do not have sufficient amount of time to code or read things, and users at the phab site are being either too creative or too inactive.

May I suggest someone like @Asked42 or @Koavf, or someone else interested (with basic knowledge of wiki tech and available at PC around an hour a day or more) click "join" at the latter link and recruit yourselves or someone you know to complete these tasks. It would help a lot.

I'm happy to help, but unfortunately, I am not competent to do any of those tasks. I am okay at MediaWiki and know the absolute mildest amount of scripting but am not someone who could write code in any meaningful way. As for communication on phab:, did you take a look at mw:Bug_management/Phabricator_etiquette? I appreciate that these bug tracking repositories can be confusing or intimidating. In particular, it's sometimes a fine distinction between what is a "bug" and a "feature (request)", so distinguishing between "this should be fixed" and "this is something that I would like to be added" is a matter of some subtlety and intepretation. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 11:44, 13 October 2025 (UTC)

You dont need to code. If you can understand how to get pages tagged with event dates and comment (summary of current article status) prefeeably no JS that would help a lot. For code maybe someone already made it or can make it. I have to step away from https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T407051 as I do not see how to move it forward and nobody on it seems to care of progress as far as I could note. Rejecting unsighted article move

In the article ""Too Easy LoL": messages written on cell wall as ten inmates escape from Orleans Parish Prison in Louisiana, United States", the page was moved after publication but not sighted within 24 hours. Therefore the move should be rejected. However, I don't have the option to reject the move. I only have the option to accept it.

Any thoughts on how to deal with this? Do any other reviewers/admin/'crats have any other options for rejecting the move gracefully? I imagine we'd want to have a redirect in place in case there are external links to the current, but unsighted title.

The only option I can think of is to approve the change, then move the article back to the original title and leave a redirect with that move (which I'll do if no one responds here).Michael.C.Wright (^Talk/_Reviewer) 16:35, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

I just realized I protected the article so reviewers won't have any option anyway.

I was able to reject the next edit after the move and it indicated I was also rejecting the move, but in the end, the move was not rejected and remains the sighted headline. It appears that we can't reject moves once they happen.

I can still try to move the article back to the original headline and add a redirect. But thinking more about it, I'm not sure it's necessary or worth the trouble, considering that Google has already indexed the current headline.

The original headline better-matches the focal event of the article. The primary newsworthy fact is the escape of ten inmates, not that they wrote a message. The original headline is also more direct and active in voice.
