I have recovered considerably from my recent illness, and am feeling much better. The News Briefs will resume from today (27 February 2008 01:00 UTC) and should be published at least every two days. I am open for doing interviews again and would be glad to assist, but am still a little fragile so please be gentle! NicholasTurnbull x x |

This is Nicholas Turnbull, an amateur Wikinews journalist from Brighton, United Kingdom. Amongst other things, I study artificial intelligence at the University of Sussex, attempt to make my living doing freelance IT consulting work, and write fiction which nobody reads. I am also active in the LGBT rights movement, am a rather rusty pianist, and a Buddhist. In terms of the Wiki-universe, I started out editing the English Wikipedia, where I am the user of the same name and continue to be an administrator there, but I have barely touched the English Wikipedia for some time now. Here on Wikinews, I do the scriptwriting and newsreading for the Wikinews News Brief which I would like to do daily, but alas time is not an indefinite resource and so it tends to be a little intermittent. I am a comparatively new journalist here but am starting to do work on "original research" first-person interviews and hope to become an established reporter here. Should there be anything in which I might be able to offer some assistance to you, I remain at your service, and please let me know on my talk page. Until we meet again... [edit] My details
